So with Caleb finally home I just got his last report notes and now I know for sure they were screwing him up. Hes currently on lithium and depakote, which is for bipolar which he has never actually been diagnosed with. Wtf. He's diagnosed autism and adhd. Well this past week due to us having to go to major lengths to get him out of program he was in he didn't have enough meds for week. This is peior to me seeing this report. So I gave him half doses. Now I have not seen any difference, no behaviors they were talking about resembling bipolar at all. So considering continuing half dose until he can see a new doctor and get files transferred and tell new doctor what seems obvious to me. I took lithium before for a misdiagnosis and if hes not actually bipolar then he needs free of them. They made me dulled, unable to draw, and my creatvity was dappened majorly. I have seen him go from happy creative to bored and unable to draw in the year plus he's been on them. He's home now though and I will be his payee until I can teach him money responsibility. They didn't give me as much trouble as I was expecting luckily.
Hope Webb Vanessa Constanti i know and need to find him one near me now. He was seeing one in Illinois when he lived in St Louis. 1
Vanessa Constanti Hope Webb Ah, yes, this needs to be a priority.
Natosha Lynn Freeman I was misdiagnosed with bipolar myself and I was on depokate (however you spell it) and some other meds and I called my doctor and told him to take me off it back in 2010 and I was on it from 2005-2010 and in 2015 I had a psychiatrist tell me that I was misdiagnosed and I had PTSD not bipolar 1
Hope Webb Natosha Lynn Freeman that was me too. Was diagnosed 5 years later as ptsd and adhd. They missed the autism of course because I am masking queen but I told all so ptsd was obvious. 1
Natosha Lynn Freeman Hope Webb I believe that I have Asperger's myself but I'm not % sure but I'm going to talk to my doctor about it

Aleks Storm those two sound very familer to me. my mother kept me under drugs that did the same effect. now i'm curiouse if i was misdignosed and treated for that myself. though there is no paper proof. if you notice a diference then maybe it is time to talk about a new plan with a new doctor. nothing wrong with trying diferent options till you find the best one for him 1
Hope Webb Aleks Storm he's definitely going to new doctor. He just moved in with me 2 hrs away from the doctor. Looking for one down here. I was misdiagnosed many times so know what to look for.
Aleks Storm Hope Webb i always say doctors know beter since they have taken so many corses but sometimes its best to go off instinct. there are some really not nice doctors out there. though i dont think they are money hunger. they can make mistakes
Hope Webb Lol now he's like how do you know what I'm thinking because hes driving brother crazy standing watching tv and I explained it to brother.
De'Ette Birt Shattuck I can only say that Depakote actually made my son very violent, more than he ever had been. He even caused him to self-harm everyday, which he did very rarely before. I agree you need his Dr to get you a correct diagnosis. Have him re-evaluated and change his meds hopefully. 1
Hope Webb De'Ette Birt Shattuck when he was first taking it he had major elopement issues at the mentor home before the last one. They lowered dose of both about 2 months ago and I am going to get them to take him off of it.
Vanessa Constanti Everything you just said, needs to be discussed with his doctor, before you make changes to his meds
